“I am so glad that I contacted Rose. I knew right away that there was something wrong with how the nursing was going as my breasts and nipples were more sore then I was expecting them to be. With it being my third child, I thought that nursing would be a breeze, so was confused that my nipples were cracked and blistered. It was discouraging to be in so much pain. Rose was very quick to return my email and we were able to set up an appointment the next day. She came to my house and within a short time was able to determine that my baby was tongue tied. She also noticed there was tension in thorough his jaw and neck. Along with some great tips on how to get a better latch, she made a couple referrals for a pediatrician to release the tongue tie and recommended manual therapy for the muscle tension. Rose was wonderful post-visit with following up and answering any questions I had. I would highly recommend Rose to both new moms and veteran moms who have any nursing concerns. She is knowledgable, professional and made me feel at ease and comfortable.”
“In a time of panic I contacted Rose who came to my house the next day! Rose showed me proper latching and comfortable holding positions. She is knowledgeable and supportive which is exactly what a first time mom needed. Thank you so much for making me feel confident about breastfeeding and for not making me give up so quickly. ”
“When I came home from the hospital I felt ill-equipped. Rose helped me with my general anxieties as a first time mother in addition to breastfeeding assistance and counseling. Rose was very attentive; she made herself available for home visits and followed up with me throughout the year to ensure things were going well. I felt instantly comfortable with Rose. She was such a calming presence in a world that was so new to me. Rose’s assistance meant more to me than I will ever be able to express in words. I have recommended Rose to family and friends - her services were beyond helpful. ”
“As a new mom, I initially found myself overwhelmed with many aspects of motherhood. My son and I had a lot of trouble breastfeeding in the first few weeks, and I was extremely emotional. Rose helped me get through this challenging stage in my life. Her kind, nurturing character, along with her knowledge and experience helped me work through my breastfeeding difficulties, as well as the fears I was struggling with about my ability to care for my son. At eight and a half months, my son and I are still nursing very well, he is thriving, and I am enjoying every moment of being his mother. I am so grateful that I had Rose’s support and guidance. ”
“The first days at home with my daughter Poppy were equal parts magic and panic. Is she feeding enough? Why won’t she stop feeding? I am doing this right? Thank goodness for Rose! In those early days she made a house call to see my breastfeeding technique, demystify some baby behaviours and reassure me that my daughter was thriving and we were doing great. But Rose’s support didn’t stop when breastfeeding was comfortably underway. In the weeks and months that followed Rose was always just a phone call, email or text away to answer any questions I had, and believe me, there are always lots of questions! In my case it was everything from milk storage and supply to how to continue breastfeeding when I go back to work. They say it takes a village to raise a child and I’m very grateful to be in one with Rose! ”
